About SSW Skill Tests

Understanding what the occupational tests measure — and what our practice covers.

Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) Skill Tests assess whether candidates have the occupational knowledge and judgment to work safely and effectively in a designated industry in Japan. Unlike JFT-Basic, there is a separate examination for each industry, administered by the relevant industry body under Japan's government framework.

Our practice questions are designed around commonly tested competencies and publicly available examination guidance. They are developed independently and are not sourced from, nor endorsed by, any official examination body.
